How it works

Shoe sizing grew up separately in different countries, so there is no single formula — only published conversion charts that brands roughly follow. This converter looks your US size up in a standard retail chart: UK sizes run about half a size below US men's (and further below US women's, since the women's scale starts from a different baseline), EU sizes count in Paris points (two-thirds of a centimeter each, hence the halves like 42.5), and Japanese sizes are simply the foot length in centimeters. Because manufacturers round and grade differently — a Nike 9 and an Adidas 9 don't always match — treat every result as a starting point and check the brand's own chart before ordering.
