How it works

Random colors straight off the RGB cube usually clash, so this tool works in HSL color space instead: it picks one random base hue, then builds the palette from color-theory relationships — nearby analogous hues plus a complementary opposite — with rich saturation and balanced lightness. That is why the five swatches feel like they belong together even though the starting point was random. Clicking a swatch copies its HEX code (the #rrggbb format CSS and design tools expect) straight to your clipboard. If a palette is not quite right, regenerate — with 360 possible base hues you will effectively never see the same one twice.
