How to play

The board hides 10 mines on Beginner (9×9) or 40 on Intermediate (16×16). Revealing a cell shows a number: exactly how many of its (up to eight) neighbors are mines. Blank cells have no neighboring mines and open up a whole region at once. Your first click is always safe — the mines are only placed after it, and never on or next to that cell.

Work by deduction: a 1 in a corner with only one covered neighbor marks a mine, while a number whose mines are all flagged means every other neighbor is safe to open. Flag the mines you're sure of — the counter tracks mines minus flags — and you win by revealing every safe cell. Hitting a mine ends the game and shows you the whole board.
