How it works
NdS notation is the tabletop shorthand for dice: N is how many dice to roll and S is how many sides each has, so 2d6 means two six-sided dice and 1d20 is the classic twenty-sider. Each die is rolled independently with a uniform distribution — every face has an equal chance, exactly like a fair physical die. The tool shows every individual roll plus the total, and keeps a running history so you can audit a session or settle disputes about that suspicious streak of natural 20s. The quick buttons cover the standard polyhedral set (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d100) used by Dungeons & Dragons and most other tabletop RPGs.
